Why Stationery?

Confession: I might have kept almost every card and letter that has ever been sent to me.

It’s silly, I know. But there’s always something about throwing away a card that someone took the time to pick out and send my way that makes me a little sad. So through the years I’ve kept them all: birthday cards, Christmas cards, Valentine’s, postcards from various vacation locales, letters from friends from distant summer jobs. There’s something very special about going through them years later and getting to see that very specific moment in time etched in handwriting. It’s a little piece of personal history.

Emails will never have the same ability to transport us to a moment in our lives. That’s why I’m still a firm believer in the power of a thoughtful, handwritten note. And that’s why I decided to go into the stationery business.

I love good design and paper, so sharing that, along with my enthusiasm for letter writing, are part of the inspiration for On a Good Note. I like to think my designs are fun and fresh, with nods to the personalities of my friends and family. I hope you find something that you will love.
